The first shipment of truck tires from our new ultra-modern manufacturing plant in Thailand arrived last week at our California warehouse.<\/p>\n<p> <!--more--> <\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was a beautiful sight for those of us who have visited the plant and came away very impressed by the technology and dedication\/professionalism of the plant associates. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ksUgouzwhFM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Check out this video of the first shipment<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ksUgouzwhFM\" target=\"_blank\" data-mce-target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.doublecointires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Double20Coin20-20first20tire20shipment.jpg\" alt=\"Double Coin - first tire shipment.jpg\" title=\"Double Coin - first tire shipment.jpg\" width=\"500\" caption=\"false\" data-constrained=\"true\" style=\"width: 500px; display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The state-of-the-art facility is owned by Huayi Group (Thailand) Co. Ltd., and is manufacturing truck, bus, industrial tires and also OTR tires for the North American market.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The facility operates in the Luckchai Rubber Industrial City Hub, which is located in Thailand\u2019s Rayong Province. Built on a 3.6 million square-foot site, it is set to manufacture over 1.5 million TBR tires and 50,000 OTR tires annually.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>4.0 Automation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">New technologies and new equipment are being used in the project. For <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.doublecointires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Double20Coin20Thailand20plant20-20artist20rendering.jpg\" alt=\"Double Coin Thailand plant - artist rendering.jpg\" title=\"Double Coin Thailand plant - artist rendering.jpg\" width=\"375\" caption=\"false\" data-constrained=\"true\" style=\"width: 375px; margin: 0px 0px 10px 10px; float: right;\">example, manufacturing and material transfer are automated. The entire plant is controlled by the MES software (Manufacturing Execution System) and is integrated with the SAP management system. The project is designed according to the Industry 4.0 concept. This is a level of automation that reduces the number of employees in the factory to half of what is needed in a traditional tire factory and ensures the quality of the tires produced is more stable and reliable.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"background-color: transparent; font-size: 1em;\">This plant was needed in order to meet the growing demand for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.doublecointires.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Double Coin tires<\/a> in North America, as well as our continued plans to expand our product line.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We are anxious to get our Thailand-produced tires to our dealers and out onto the roadways with fleets and owner operators, as well as on work sites for our OTR tires.
