That was Tough!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">In my <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.doublecointires.com\/blog\/transporting-extremely-large-and-valuable-boats\">first blog post for Double Coin Tire<\/a>, I introduced my company,&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.palmettoyachtmanagement.com\/\">Palmetto Yacht Management<\/a>, and discussed our business . . . moving extremely large and valuable vessels (boats) along the East Coast! We currently run five trucks and seven custom built commercial boat trailers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p> <!--more--> <\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">We recently completed a fun but challenging assignment &#8212; transporting this <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.doublecointires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Chris_Hanna_blog_2_-_boat.jpg\" style=\"width: 400px; margin: 5px 0px 5px 5px; float: right;\" data-constrained=\"true\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\">amazing Chris Craft 36&#8242; Launch from the factory in Florida to the Newport International Boat Show in Newport, Rhode Island.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">It was fun because, we as boaters, just love this boat! What a beauty!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Beautiful and very large! Most people probably don\u2019t appreciate the complexity of moving a boat of this magnitude into the northeast. Average bridge height is 2 feet less than the rest of the county. And when moving an over-height boat there is nothing more gut wrenching than going under an inaccurately marked <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.doublecointires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Chris_Hanna_blog_2_-_boat_2.jpg\" title=\"\" style=\"width: 320px; margin: 5px 5px 5px 0px; float: left;\">bridge! And if that isn&#8217;t enough, there are many roads that restrict us due to the width of the beam of the boat. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Take all that and mix it up with the busiest roads in the country and you have yourself one heck of an interesting journey!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>To help reduce load height we had this boat loaded on the super low <a href=\"http:\/\/www.doublecointires.com\/tire\/rt500\/\">215\/75\/R17.5 Double Coin RT500 <\/a>all-position, multi-use tires, which performed flawlessly! Big smiles when we pulled into Newport on time and with our cargo in perfect shape.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.doublecointires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Chris_and_Robbie_on_beach.jpg\" style=\"width: 453px; margin: 0px 5px 5px; float: right;\" data-constrained=\"true\" width=\"453\" height=\"300\">There\u2019s a lot of pressure for my fianc\u00e9 Robbie and me running a company that consistently carries priceless cargo. When we find equipment that we can depend on like Double Coin tires, we stick with them!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">&nbsp;If you\u2019ve had challenges transporting large items through the Northeast, I would love to hear from you.
