Freight rates on the open market have gone crazy!  The ports are all swamped and container ships are anchored offshore waiting to drop inbound containers. The good news is . . . CMA/Double Coin is better positioned than most tire manufacturers to keep our TBR and OTR customers supplied.

Analysts are mixed on the 2021 trucking freight outlook, but agree that constraints exist, including tire supply. We’re doing our part at CMA/Double Coin; our new highly advanced plant is producing 4,000 TBR and OTR tire units each day!

Driver shortages . . . it’s a huge topic of discussion at every trucking conference, including the recent CCJ Spring Symposium held in Birmingham which was co-sponsored by Double Coin Tires.

Remember when tennis star Andre Agassi said “image is everything” in the Canon TV ads back in the 90’s? That certainly applies to the current perception problem for technical careers in the trucking industry.

Social media has become an important communications channel for the trucking industry with people sharing information and making valuable business connections. Just look at the Facebook communities of the major truck manufacturers — very robust online communities with tens of thousands of fans.
