Veteran Driver Loves His RLB400s

Glen Rice has just about seen it all in 46 years of driving and when it comes to drive tires, he says he hasn’t seen anything better than the Double Coin RLB400.

«I’m getting great wear, and the traction is as good as anything I’ve driven on,» Rice noted at the recent Mid America Trucking Show. «I have 250,000 miles on the current set and they are wearing just perfectly!»

Rice says he gives the Double Coin drive tires «an important assist» by adjusting his vehicle alignment two to three times a year and regularly checking his tire air pressure.

«I’m under a lot of different types of trailers in addition to bobtailing, so it is important to continually check my air pressure relevativeto the load,» he said.{{cta(‘a3de53a1-2b9a-49bc-a529-f2bfb171fef7′,’justifycenter’)}}

Stopping to Smell the Roses

In the early years, Rice focused mostly on his job of hauling stuff. But then he got caught up in a multi-vehicle accident that resulted in serious injuries. Once he got back behind the wheel, he said he decided to chill a bit. «My girlfriend (seen above) and I take our time on trips to check out restaurants and local sights,» he explained. «It’s been very nice.»

The RLB400 features an extra deep 30/32″ tread with stone drilling protectors which help deliver long original mileage. The closed shoulder tread design provides even wear.
