OTR Tires From New Plant are Stateside!

OTR radials from our new highly-advanced plant in Thailand are now in Double Coin US warehouses and ready to help companies with heavy wheeled equipment improve their bottom line.

The plant has the capacity to produce 136 OTR tires per day, and we’re getting rave reviews from our TBR and OTR customers on the product quality. The plant deploys the latest in automation and robotics. These three products are great examples of the high quality OTR tires coming from our Thailand plant:

The Double Coin REM-2 Off-The-Road E3/L3 earthmover/loader radial features an aggressive self-cleaning tread design. Engineered to deliver a smooth ride and superior traction in all types of terrain (stone, sand, mud and more), the REM-2 is OEM certified with an advanced casing design that promotes retreadability.

The Double Coin REM-3 skid steer tire features a special uni-directional tread design for maximum traction in off-the-road skid loader applications. Its radial design offers optimum performance and increased tire life, as well as an enhanced ride and handling.

 

The Double Coin REM-6 industrial lug tire delivers optimum performance and traction in industrial lug, crane and port applications. The REM-6 is engineered with special tread compounds to run cool, fight rapid wear and deliver remarkable stability.

New technologies and the latest equipment are being used throughout the plant. For example, manufacturing and material transfer are automated. The entire plant is controlled by the MES software (Manufacturing Execution System) and is integrated with the SAP management system. The project is designed according to the Industry 4.0 concept. This is a level of automation that reduces the number of employees in the factory to half of what is needed in a traditional tire factory and ensures the quality of the products produced is more stable and reliable.

Built on a 3.6 million square-foot site, the facility is set to manufacture more than 50,000 OTR tires annually and 2.5 million TBR tires annually.
