Love's Expands Retread Capabilities

Love’s Travel Stops, which carries Double Coin tires, has replaced a retread plant and distribution center in Texas with a twice larger, 200,000-square-foot facility in El Reno, OK.

Love’s has seven retread plants and is the 8th largest retreader in the US, according to the Modern Tire Dealer Top 50 Retreaders List.

A Very Retreadable Casing

Speaking of retreading, we enjoyed hearing from a Manitoba owner operator about how much he depended on Double Coin casings for many years.

Maurice Deamel is retired now, but he still has strong feelings about Double Coin TBR casings . . . that’s because they never, ever let him down!

“I would walk past a pile of Michelins any day for a Double Coin,” says Deamel who hauled aggregates for 35 years in southern Manitoba. “I ran Double Coin recaps on my drives because the sidewalls stood up really well. I never blew a Double Coin in some really harsh operating conditions.”
