To succinctly sum up the state of the U.S. construction industry, you might say, “2020 bad, 2021 good!”

Positive Outlook

That’s the takeaway from many construction observers. According to a post-election survey of engineering and construction executives conducted by Deloitte, 68% of respondents characterized the business outlook for the industry as somewhat or very positive. They see pent-up demand sitting out there in 2021.  

Bottleneck

Lack of supply of OTR radial and bias tires is a problem though. Ocean shipping is still constrained from the pandemic. After being downsized, it is struggling to catch up to increased demand.

We hear that some of our OTR tire manufacturer competitors are having serious fill rate issues.
